A unique dialogue between past and present: on October 3, 2025, at the Budapest
Music Center, pianist Domonkos Csabay will perform Frédéric Chopin’s 24 Preludes,
Op. 28, alongside Balázs Kecskés D.’s 24 Postludes.
The concert brings together one of the most iconic piano cycles of the 19th century
and a newly written work of the 21st century. Chopin’s Preludes, covering all 24 keys,
are timeless cornerstones of the piano repertoire. Kecskés D.’s Postludes take the
same structural idea as a starting point but reflect today’s fragmented and
multifaceted world through a contemporary musical language.
After the concert, all ticket holders are warmly invited to a reception at no extra cost.
